Kargo the Dog wishes you all a happy holiday season!
She also had her second adoptiversary earlier in December. I think she has had a great two years with us, and we with her.
The next day, we did our usual hiking in Garland Ranch Regional Park, where Kargo got to enjoy off-leashing hoofing.
We enjoyed some lunch at the Corkscrew Cafe, which has a dog-friendly patio.
On Monday morning, we strolled Carmel beach. There were lots of other people and dogs around, but for some reason, the beach looks deserted in this photo.
This weekend in Carmel included Poodle Day, so Carmel was awash in poodles. This was fine with Kargo, since she loves poodles. Here's Rocco, a fellow hotel guest, with his "hair pants" haircut.
The trailers are comfortably outfitted with Casper mattresses and relatively large showers. We found a spot by the door for Kargo's bed and she slept well.
One of the activities was hiking in Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. Here's Kargo posing in front of one of the oldest redwood trees.
We also did a bit of wine tasting. One winery we visited was the dog-friendly Thomas George Estates. Here's a photo of their picnic area and entrance into the cave where the tasting was held that day.
We took a trip to Carmel-by-the-sea last weekend. We tend to make two trips a year there, once in May and once in late September. We took a walk above the beach on Saturday. We later went walking down on the beach, where Kargo had a blast.
The next day was the usual hike in Garland Ranch, and Kargo gets to go off-leash. woo-hoo!
Kargo loves the dog park and we try to go once a week. Here she is enjoying the dog park action. The basset is named Satchel and the great dane is named Duke.
